Chef Reina is the brand of Reina Montenegro, a self-taught Filipina-American chef from Dumaguete City, Philippines, based in the San Francisco Bay Area and known for veganized Filipino comfort food such as plant-based sisig, lumpia, and silog dishes. She ran the Bay Area vegan Filipino restaurants Nick's Kitchen (Daly City), Nick's on Grand, and Nick's on Mission before relaunching as Chef Reina in Brisbane, California in 2021 with a storefront, online ordering, and nationwide shipping; the brick-and-mortar closed in January 2025. She self-published the cookbook Plant Based Filipino Comfort Foods (2020), was named a PETA "Cultural Trailblazer" (2019), has been featured by VegNews, Rappler, and CNN, and brought her vegan pork belly to Mama Go's restaurant at San Francisco International Airport.
