Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 130 g vegan butterblock variety works best, at room temperature
  • 150 g granulated sugar
  • 50 g soft silken tofu or unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 180 g plain white flour (aka all-purpose flour)or substitute for a gluten-free flour blend
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda (aka baking soda)
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 2 teaspoon ube powderor substitute for blueberry powder
  • 1 teaspoon ceremonial grade matchaOMG Tea Brand
  • 2 teaspoon Dutch process cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoon granulated sugarfor rolling the dough

For Decorating

  • edible googly eye decorationsmake sure they're vegan
  • 100 g icing sugar (aka powdered sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon plant milkunflavored and unsweetened
